Hello, my name is Tara Ahearn. I joined Turning Tides Psychological Services in May
2023. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I have over 25 years of experience
working with children and families in various settings.
My therapy approach is to provide a safe, supportive and welcoming environment
for you to explore your thoughts and concerns to gain insight, identify strengths, and
develop a plan to achieve your goals.
I utilize Dialectic Behavior Therapy, Trauma Focused Therapy, The Gottman Method
and Motivational Interviewing.
I work with Teens, Adults, Parents and Couples on interpersonal and relationship
issues, family system issues, anxiety, depression, impulsivity, and life transitions.
